Baby Fever:

I don’t know what was in the water…..I don’t know if there was a power outage, or what the deal was, but there has been a wonderful abundance of babies lately and I’m having serious baby fever right now. And it didn’t help when this sweet baby named Alessa was put in my arms. Oh my goodness……it took me back. It was hard to believe that my very own was once a small preemie as well…she was the same size he was when we brought him home from the hospital. So lite weight. How quickly they grow. Alessa was just a week old when I met her. She has been a welcome addition to the family. She joins her big brother Mason. She was so precious and tiny. I loved listening to her coo and just squirm around.
This particular day she was cluster feeding…..she just wanted nothing to do but eat, and eat, and eat some more. Her mommy tried to get her into a nice milk coma and finally towards the end she was out….she has the longest fingers and toes I’ve ever seen for a baby and yet so dainty. I’m sure her mommy looks forward to the day when she can paint her nails.
She opened her eyes and was just content to lay on that comfy blanket and look all around her. She surely would have slept there had we let her. Alessa was so alert and watching what I was doing…she even gave me a bit of  a smile. That just makes your day!And finally some rest for the baby. You have a beautiful little girl and have made a wonderful family with Mason and Alessa. Congrats CJ and Tracy!
