Raindrops and Kisses…

The day started off sunny and bright….and proceeded into the late afternoon. I got in my car to make the journey to meet up with Jessica, Brennon and their boys, Sam and William. The clouds began to darken and the rain began to pour. The kind that leaves you driving nearly blinded by the downfall. I had been looking so forward to this session and wasn’t ready to give up on it yet….even though the skies told me otherwise. The traffic was a nightmare…..what should have taken me just about a 45 minute drive ended up taking me nearly two hours to make. Bless their hearts for being super patient as I fought my way through traffic.
All that time it rained and just as I arrived, late and flustered these smiling faces appeared and the rain stopped. I was so happy to push through even when things seemed hopeless. It ended up being so worth it. How handsome are the boys? Sam is 4 and William is celebrating his 2nd birthday. Sam was a cool kid, always having a smile on his face and happy attitude.
These boys have a special lady wrapped around their fingers……a wife, a mother. And she has a fine couple of men in her life.
Just as I told Sam…..Mommies always love those special hugs and kisses. Those never grow old.William was full of having the time, playing with the grape vines, playing in the grass. He was content with all his surroundings. The boys are so cute. I kept finding myself thinking back to my own boy, an how much William reminded me of him when he was that age. It makes you miss that time and realize how fast these little beings grow.Towards the end of the session, Jessica and I were on the same wave length. Beyond us sat a huge puddle screaming to be played in. They rolled the boys pants up and let them have at it. Who can resist the fun of a puddle…..splashing all about.Brotherly love….I couldn’t resist this moment with William and his Mommy. We all were making our way back up the hill to leave, but he stayed back, even though his parents both called to him over and over. He proceeded to remain in tact right there….waiting. Finally Mommy made he way to him, he turned his back to her, only to turn to her an smile so brightly that she came to get him. How sweet those little moments are.He was full of smiles and love for his Mommy. He might show signs of the terrible two’s, but he’s still sweet as can be. Thanks again for waiting it out and for such a fun time!!
