Susan and Mike’s wedding was held at The Ohio Historical Village chapel on the grounds. By far one of my favorite venues to work at. It ended up being a beautiful spring day, the sun was shining bright and the warm air was inviting. Susan and her bridesmaids got ready at The American House Hotel on the grounds of the village.
Mike and his groomsmen got ready in the basement of the church. Mike got some help with his tie and some last minute advice.
The day as beautiful as it was, had it’s own challenges…the wind. It was unforgiving. It was whipping around all different directions. Susan’s veil would nearly fly off if she didn’t have a good hold of it. This was likely a first for me, but I was going to fight against the wind best I could.
Prior to the service, both sides of the bridal party prayed over Mike and Susan. What a great support of friends and faith.
The church was full of excited family and friends. They started off the service with a song before proceeding with the vows.
The grounds of The Ohio Village offer so many great places for wedding portraits……from within the village an near the museum. Susan and Mike already had some ideas of where they wanted photos done.
The church has these beautiful stained glass windows. We went to the top of the church for a quiet moment before leaving for the next stop.
Susan and Mike were joined by their family and friends in their bridal party. They all were so excited for this day to have arrived and share it with them. In turn, I know it meant a lot to both Susan and Mike to have them be part of their wedding day.
We made a stop in downtown Worthington which has some special meanings to Susan and Mike.
The bridal party were all having a good time together and living up the moment.
Susan and Mike wanted this photo of them in the middle of High Street, they just happened to have luck on their side when a Worthington Police cruiser pulled up……made for a happy bride and groom!
The reception was held at J. Liu in Worthington. They had requested that instead of the clinking of glasses that if they were too kiss, their guests had to sing a love song of their choice. It made for a great change of pace and made it fun for everyone.
The best man and woman for Susan and Mike both had creative speeches they gave their dear friends.
And then there was dancing! Congrats on your wedding and best wishes in your future together!
