Jason and Kindra’s Wedding

1
This past Saturday was the wedding day of Jason and Kindra. Their wedding was held at the lodge at Alley Park in Lancaster on a day full of typical Ohio weather. The forecast was to be spotty showers, but it was more of a down pour upon our arrival, and it rained. Then it would clear off for awhile before the skies would let loose again. It was a bitter cold day for mid May.

Inside the lodge, Kindra and her bridesmaids got ready. All those last minute touches and perfections.
3
On the other side of the wall, the guy’s stood ready to go while Kinda’s got some last minute hair touch up’s before putting on her gown.
4
The moment finally arrived and Kindra called for her mom to be there to help her with her dress. Clearly a close knit bond between her and her mother.
5
Jason and Kindra chose to see one another before the ceremony. Since it was just ending yet another rain shower, they met each other in the lodge hall. I think both were equally relieved to see each other. They embraced and held each other tight and shared in the anticipation of the moment.
6
They chose to do some portraits before the ceremony which is always nice cause it doesn’t cut into their guests time so much. Along the bank of the pond is such a beautiful setting at the park.
7
One thing I love about Kindra and Jason is their connection to each other. They seem like one already. Bonded. She is always laughing in his presence and he always has her close by.
8
The ceremony was preformed in the covered bridge by Kindra’s brother before their family and friends. Just prior to the ceremony was yet another down pour of rain and within minutes of the ceremony starting, the sun broke through and the sky dried up for Kindra and her dad to make their way to Jason.

The unity of family with Jason and Kindra was evident. The importance of their families being a big part of their day. The commitment not just between bride and groom, but the parents supporting their children in this stage of their lives.

I loved their color scheme for the wedding….it was so colorful against nature’s backdrop. The bridal party was beyond cute with the youngest two stealing the show.

Ironically enough, I’ve gotten to know both the bride and groom on separate accounts. I’d kind of known Jason for awhile through his job, when I had met Kindra through a cousin. Small world how things work out….I’ve had fun getting to know them a bit better and spend time with them on a fun engagement session last summer. They enjoy the outdoors and nature around them, so it only seemed fitting their wedding day design.

You’re married!!! How cool is that!

That’s one handsome groom you’ve got there Kindra!

Kindra wanted to be sure to get certain images, the rings of her mother and grandmother (left) and the rings of her and her sisters.

Back to that pesky weather again…..did I say it was a typical Ohio weather day were you saw it all? After the rain, there was hail. Then there was a double rainbow, a bit hard to see in the photo, but it was there. They got a bit of everything that day.

The reception immediately followed back in the lodge. They did such a good job with keeping with nature’s theme and thinking of the kids with the cute mask’s for them to wear.

That duck photo is for you Kinda, a bit of an inside joke if you will. A special thanks goes to Brandi. Year’s ago we met up in a Pickerington park where our kids became fast friends and over the year’s I’ve come to know many of their family. It was kind of an odd turn around feeling like a bit of a family reunion to see so many faces I know so well. Brandi put me in touch with Kindra two year’s ago when we first met. So it was a lot of fun for Marty and I to spend the afternoon with friends.

Congratulations on your marriage and may you continue to hold on to each other though all the up’s and down’s life throw’s your way. Together you will face it all and still come out laughing together. Best wishes!
