What’s vibrant and shimmering of color, fast and graceful…that’s Aubrey in her finest. I had the pleasure of getting to work with her again recently. She was getting ready to send off her current dress to it’s next owner and she wanted to get some photos in her dress before sending it off. She has already out grown this beautiful dress and is waiting for her next one to arrive.
Aubrey has been involved with Irish Dancing since she was 4 year’s old and is very talented. She is an Open Championship dancer which is the highest level in competition. She is currently working towards qualifying for the World Championships. She dances with Millennium Academy of Irish Dance, directed by Muireann Ni Chiara. You can find more information on the academy at http://www.millenniumirishdanceandmusic.com/
Irish dance consists of two different shoes, the hard shoe and the soft shoe.
Aubrey has been to the North American Championships two times and placed 21st position this year, which was only two places from qualifying for Worlds Championships.
Aubrey’s one of a kind dress was made in Belfast, Northern Ireland by Gavin Dohtery of Eire Designs. A nod to the colors of the Irish flag.
Aubrey loves dancing and spends a lot of her free time practicing. You can find her at the Dublin Irish Festival showing off her skills as well as the upcoming The Celtic Nutcracker where she will play the character Ciara this later this year. She also does performances at other venues through out the year.
Aubrey had some fun with just doing jumps and kicks…
Good luck Aubrey in your upcoming competition at the Mid-West Oireachtas!
