Sweet baby Jaxon recently celebrated his 1st birthday in style. I met up with Jake and Erin a few weeks ago for their session, and met back up with them the other night to finish the session as Jaxon was ready for his nap, so we caugh up another time to make sure we had a happy guy. And he did not disappoint! It felt good to get out and get some spring shots as the weather was just starting to turn from the crummy winter into what felt like heaven. Sun on our skin and smiles all around.
Jaxon loves getting tickles from Mommy and Daddy. He was full of giggles. It’s been great fun watching a past bride and groom of mine enter into parenthood and seeing how they are naturals at it. They have done a great job that first year.
I’ve always said that any baby of Erin and Jake’s is going to have stunning eyes cause both his parents have been blessed with vibrant eyes. I adore this photo of Erin. Those eyes speak volumes of her love for her two guys.
Jaxon enjoyed a bit of riding on his tractor around the driveway. His legs not long enough to reach, but Mom stepped in to push him along.
Back inside we had some fun. Mom read one of his favorite books as he played with his Slinky. Family fur baby Asher didn’t want to miss out.
For his birthday party, Erin and Jake went with a Lumber Jack theme. So she wanted to incorporate that into some of his year shots. He was too cute in his suspenders. He makes a handsome lil Lumber man!
Just in the couple of weeks that had gone by since I shot the first part of this session, Jaxon took his first steps and was off. He was on the go and proud of this new found ability.
Who doesn’t love a bit of balloon fun in their bed. Jaxon was having a blast trying to grab all the balloons. I was impressed that not one was busted in his adventures.
That pensive look, that direct finger to the earth, that handsome mug, I just want to eat him up.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAXON……..And congrats Erin and Jake for surviving your first year of parenthood! Job well done!
