One of the great joy’s of my job over the year’s is growing with families. I had the pleasure of photographing Jake and Erin’s wedding year’s ago, and have photographed their expanding family with their first born, Jaxon an now their baby girl. Erin was having some mild contractions during our shoot. We previously scheduled it for this day cause the next afternoon she was scheduled for delivery. Jaxon is looking forward to being a big brother and loved giving his Mama belly kisses.
How cute is Jaxon!
Sweet cuddles from big brother.
A few weeks ago, Erin an I met up for a prior shoot. She really wanted to do a tub shoot maternity session, so who was I to argue? Erin an I have had a lot of fun over the year’s and it’s nice to working with people who understand creative outlets and inspirations.
So excited to welcome a girl into their family…so many new things to experience.
We had a lot fun and a lot of laugh’s on this shoot. Erin was in the lap of luxury, heated floors, a warm claw foot tub. What more could a Mama-to-be ask for?
A beautiful baby girl was born this week, can’t wait to show you their new addition soon! Congrats Jake, Erin and Jaxon!

It’s always a joy to see some of my past bride and groom’s when they enter into parenthood. Ryan and Lauren are expecting their bundle of joy in the next few weeks and are waiting till birth to find out what they are having.
There is a genuine love between these two. They would often loose themselves in the moment at the shoot. They are very cute together and make a great team. This baby is going to have very cool parents indeed. We photographed their wedding nearly four year’s ago in a beautiful garden themed wedding. It was a lot of fun and clever personal touches.
Before the session, there wasn’t any threat of rain. We had a quick shower and it cleared up. But shortly after there was thunder and lighting in the distance over downtown Columbus.
We made our way back up from the pond and within seconds the winds turned fierce and the rain began to pour. It was like a monsoon hit. We were protected under this little canopy from the storm around us. Looking through the building, you couldn’t even see downtown Columbus anymore. The storm clouds covered it entirely.
Finally the storm let up just enough for us to make way to our car’s. And there lie a beautiful rainbow over the city. Perfect ending to a perfect shoot! So great seeing you two again, so excited for your new arrival! Best Wishes Ryan and Lauren!
Kolton and Kristin are anxiously awaiting the birth of their first child in just a few short weeks. They can hardly contain their excitement. Their son will join them in July. We met them one morning while I was in Las Vegas. I’d met Kristin a year prior on another shoot that she did the hair and make up on as well as modeling herself. So timing was perfect to be able to work with her again for her maternity session.
Kristin has a great smile, and Kolton seems to keep it on her face. He adores her. They make an adorable couple.
Kolton is so sweet and tender…..he’s going to make a great father for sure.
The bump…..so tiny!
Anyone seen the milk man? Well we took over his truck while he was away. So many great props and locations in this little old desert spot.
Radiant mama. You can’t hardly see it, but on the steps is the name of their son-to-be, Jameson. They brought these awesome wood letters to spell out his name, they were almost too perfect with the surroundings.
That is one HOT MAMA!
We of course had to go back to the scene of the crime from our first shoot together. My very favorite photo of Kristin was taken in this car. She rocked it.
The infamous car…..in the garage, they had a little fun. A man’s paradise of tools and car parts.
Best wishes to you both as you soon become parents. Can’t wait to see photos of your lil cowboy!
One of the thing’s I love about my job is the relationships I make with my clients. Getting to know them and telling their story. Such is the case for Jonathan and Christina. A few year’s ago, Christina was finishing her education at The Ohio State University. Her dashing fiancee Jonathan came down from their home state of Michigan and we met up for their engagement session. Little did I think at the time I’d see them again, but they were sweet enough to ask me to photograph their wedding. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, their wedding for me was the icing on the cake. We turned it into a vacation for me and my family, with us taking a trip to Marquette,Michigan. It was stunning and beautiful area. Their families were so welcoming and nice. We really had a great time. And the wedding……..my all time favorite. Hands down. Last September we happened to be in Las Vegas at the same time so we met up and did some updated photos and showed them a bit of Old Las Vegas, since I lived out there for a few year’s and they had never been there before.
So what a great surprise when the word came out that they were expecting their first baby. But wait, they were expecting 2 babies! Jonathan and Christina will welcome two boys early this summer. They made a trip down to Columbus this past weekend and we had some fun on their maternity session. It makes my heart swell thinking back on all we have done and the fun we have had. I love that added plus with my clients.
They are preparing for the arrival and have been blessed with their family and friends hosting their baby showers. These two boys will be well taken care of. And they have two super cool parents to call Mom and Dad.
I always love the way that Jonathan makes his girl laugh…..he’s quiet and reserved, but he can always put a smile on her face.
Christina has had a pleasant pregnancy and has been enjoying it best a mama-to-be can. She’s tiny considering she’s carrying twins. She spoke of how active they have been and kicking her from all sides.
This two have their careers, and Jonathan has decided he is going to be a stay at home dad….how awesome is that? I think it’s great when a parent(s) are able to be able to raise their kids. I fully realize that not even one is that fortunate, but when it’s possible…..all the better. He will make a great dad. And Mama will be eager to get home and see her boys.
For now they are snuggled in their mom’s belly……but soon enough they will be in her arms. Cherish the remaining days of your pregnancy, those kicks, those hiccups, those movements.
When discussing the maternity session, we knew we wanted to work with water, an given the weather that day, we weren’t sure what we would get. Rain was in the forecast, so we met in the morning in hopes to beat it. So we took full advantage of the dry conditions. And even though the water was a bit chilly, Christina was intent on getting in it. Yea it was cold, but was it worth it in the end…….oh yea!
I’m so glad to have been able to share in yet another big moment of Christina’s and Jonathan’s lives. I’m so excited for them and all that is to come. They will soon celebrate their 3rd wedding anniversary and the birth of their boys! Best wishes to you both!! Great seeing you again!! Can’t wait to meet the boys! -xx
I remember months ago getting a message from my friend Leah while on my vacation that she had big news. I thought she was joking with me. I had to re-read the message to assure myself what I was reading. I was giddy with happiness for Leah and Tim. This had been a long and difficult road for them, so it was a joyous occasion indeed. I’ve known Leah for so many year’s now, I’ve lost count. Before she was even married. She is such a sweet soul, one that would do anything for you. And Tim is her rock. They have a solid foundation of a marriage. With only a matter of weeks left, their baby girl will be in their arms.
Leah looks absolutely radiant as an expectant mama. I’m sure she is winding down to wanting her body back and not having the discomforts of pregnancy, but at the same time she is appreciating every moment of it while it lasts.
Still hard to believe this girl is going to be a Mama soon, I am just so excited for them in the days ahead.
Eliette is eagerly waited upon by their family and friends. Tim and Leah have been working on getting everything prepped and ready for baby. Tim has been a great Daddy-to-be giving his wife plenty of rest and taking care of her.
Eliette will also join her fur siblings. Evie and a handful of kitties to play with as she grows up with.
When we discussed her maternity session, it was important for both Tim and Leah to go back to their wedding day and the community they love and live. Westerville has a special place in their hearts, so they went down memory lane of their wedding day to update another pending special time in their lives. How sweet is that?
Tim and Leah’s wedding day was at Everal Barn in Westerville. We got there just in time for the last minutes before we lost the sun.
I look forward to watching the next chapter in Tim and Leah’s lives as they welcome their baby girl. They are going to make great parents. So excited to meet her very soon!
